I received some Spring and summer bulbs last week from Arbor Day. It is really late to plant in Louisiana. What do I do?

Since bulbs tend to deteriorate over time, drying out or rotting in storage under home conditions, you could plant them anyway, let the foliage grow, then hope they will survive and bloom for you next year. You could also put them in pots for the same purpose. Since fall planting isn't too far away, the spring bloomers could then be lifted out of the pots into the ground. Worth a try!
