What plants can i use for the shady spot under a large oak tree other than ivy like plants. I would like some colour. |
These flowering plants all take varying degrees of shade and many of them are native Texans. Many attract hummingbirds. You may have to experiment to find those that do best in your particular conditions. Good luck! Blue plumbago, cardinal flower, columbine, cedar sage, dwarf ruellia, firespike, lyre leaf sage, pigeonberry, prairie flox, shrimp plant, and turk?s cap. |
