Is it a good idea to buy spring bulbs now (june) and store? If so, how should I store them for planting later?

Bulbs are living things and can't survive extended periods of time out of the ground. When you say spring bulbs, do you mean spring bloomers that would be planted in the fall? You could plant them in a container and then replant into the ground in fall, but they may lose some of their vigor.
