Fertilizing New Tree - Knowledgebase Question

I planted a weeping willow on June 18th in full sun. I planted it in a hole twice as wide as the pot, put gardening soil, Moo Nure and a measured amout of Bayer tree and shrub concentrate and plenty of water. I'm watering it consistantly and it seems to be doing well. How often should I fertilize it and what kind of fertilizer to use?

Your new tree shouldn't need any more fertilizer this year as long as it continues to look healthy. Overfertilizing new transplants can stress them, especially in the heat of summer, forcing them to put out new top growth when they should be establishing roots. Wait to fertilize until next year in early spring. Good luck with your willow!
