I just started my first compost a few month ago. Wwe drink a lot of coffee at our house and I always put the used coffee filter with the coffee in my compost pile. Now I would like to know, should I keep doing it, or is it bad for it?

It's fine. The paper filter (just like plain paper napkins) will compost along with the grounds and other kitchen fruit and vegetable waste. (Be sure to avoid meat products and grease, however.) Good luck with your compost pile!
