Oak Tree Roots - Knowledgebase Question

I've heard that 100 year old oak tree roots are very close to the surface & you should not build or plant anything in the area around the trees. Is this true?

Yes, disturbing the roots would be detrimental. I sent the contact to the Extension service to your earlier question as they can advise you on the best course of action.
