I purchased purple salvia plants(perrinials)they have bloomed and now the stems are very brown and dried as if it were dead. Is this normal? Will the plants come back next year?

You can prune or shear your salvias back and they should respond by developing new foliage and new flowers later this summer. I hope you see new growth soon!
