Can you please tell me how I can get rid of grasshoppers on all of my new shrubs without hurting my toads, birds and pets? I have tried everything that looks safe, and my plants are getting stripped. thanks!!! |
There's a biological control made from bran and a sweetener lure laced with a predacious protozoa, Nosema locustae. It is non-toxic to animals, people, plants and other insects, but kills most species of grasshoppers by infecting them with a disease. Grasshoppers will spread the disease among themselves, by eating sick hoppers and by laying infected eggs. It's sold under various product names, such as Grasshopper Bait or Nolo Bait. Good luck! |
