| It appears as though we may have borers in our peach tree. What do you recommend as a treatment? |
| Peach tree borer adults are steel-blue, clear winged moths. Full grown larvae are one inch long and creamy white with a brown head. The damage first appears at the base of the tree, where larvae burrow into the crown and roots and eventually girdle the tree. If you do in fact have peach tree borers, the best method of control is to dig down below the soil level (where the larvae are likely to hide) and dig them out with a knife or other sharp instrument. Be careful not to damage sound tissue as you remove the insects. |
