Name: Pauline Assarian
|My Gold Kist apricot is in its 3rd year of fruit. I didn't thin but the wind did some thinning. The larger fruit turned out sweet and good. The smaller fruit had red spots on them and some areas of white spots like powdery mildew. What is this and how to treat?

|Your tree should be treated in the spring with a fungicide. Theres' a schedule you need to follow to keep the tree disease free all summer long. Spray begin in the late winter and continue until after the flower petals fall. Look in the fruit section of the pesticide aisle for the appropriate fungicide and follow the spray schedule listed on the label. Next year your apricots will be perfect. Enjoy!
