My phitzer(spelling?) bushes are turning orange and and the needles are dropping off, it is happening to another house on our block.Could this be to a mite? If so how do I treat and will the bushes now die? Thank You,

If the needles have turned orange, they are dead and new needles will not grow on the branches. Winter damage can cause this, as can root rot. It would be best to dig them out and replace them because they just won't recover. Sorry!
