I'm in NC where it has been unusually hot with very little rain fall. Is it OK to spray weed killer during the summer months especially in the dry times? I'm thinking we should only use weed controls in the spring and fall. Thank you for your time and talent Neal in Raleigh |
It is best to avoid using lawn herbicides during hot, dry weather because of the risk of injury to the grass. Also, they tend to be more effective against the weeds when they are growing actively and if it's hot and dry, the weeds aren't as susceptible. I's suggest waiting until the weather conditions are cooler and wetter before treating your lawn. |
