How do you get Morning Glories to bloom BLUE instead of PURPLE?

It sounds like you need to choose a different variety of morning glory with a more truly blue flower color. The variety 'Heavenly Blue' has large, true-blue blossoms. There is no way to change the flower color after the plants are growing.
