My red yuccas were blooming when I bought them over 10 years ago & have not bloomed since. They are planted against a brick wall (last 3 years) on a slope in alkaline soil & get alot of sun. |
Sounds like the planting site is just right. Too much water can keep them from blooming and so can nitrogen ferilizer. Treat them the way you'd treat cactus - water deeply only once every 10-14 days during the summer months and don't feed them at all. I hope this forces them to bloom for you. |
