I moved my squill (size of human skull), although some were only portions of the bulb) from a too moist area to a dry area with expanded shale about one year ago. No leaves or anything yet. What shall I do?

If your squill hasn't sprouted you may want to dig it up and check to make sure there is still a root system or bulb remaining in the soil. It's possible it died after the move. Hope not!
