|Last year my coneflowers were able to stand without support. this year every one of the stalks seems to not be able to support the flowers. my only guess is the weight of the goldfinches possibly may be making the bend. I would like to know if there are any health issues that could cause this?

|Rapid growth can make for weak stems. Mostly it's weather related, not anything you specifically did or did not do. You can stake the plants to hold the stems upright or you can just leave them as they are. Next year the weather may be different and the stems will grow more slowly and more rigid. Enjoy your garden!
