I live in NW Indiana and would love to plant a Hydranga in my yard. Could it be planted on the East side of my house?

Hydrangeas differ in terms of their exposure, so check the variety to see the preferred sun characteristics; but in general, YES the east side is preferred as most hydrangeas prefer some direct morning sun to thrive. They also prefer moist and acidic soil conditions. Hope this helps and good luck!
