|The safest way is to pull them up relentlessly as soon as they appear. Water the garden the day before to make this task easier. Get mustard before it goes to seed. Alternatively, you can spot-treat them with an herbicide that contains glyphosate (such as Round-up), making sure that it doesn't drift to other plants. Read the label of any herbicide to make sure it is registered for the specific plants you want to kill and follow instructions exactly. Good luck!
