I have deeply rooted grasses (I think St. Augustine) growing up through some Indian Hawthorne. I can't pull the grass and get the roots. Could I would like advice on a herbicide to kill the grass and not the Indian Hawthorne please.

St. Augustine is not deeply rooted and could be pulled out. But what you can try is to purchase a bottle of pre-mixed 'Round Up' which can be used to spot spray and kill weeds. Don't over use and/or spray at the base area of the Indian Hawthorne plants, but just spot spray each of the emerging weeds where you can to eliminate the problem. Hope this helps and good luck!
