I bought some iris and peony bulbs and forgot to plant them. They appear to be healthy. I was wondering if I could plant them now or if they would die. I am worried about the heat. Thanks!

That's a "six of one, half dozen of another" issue. You could hold off until fall, but bulbs lose their vigor if left out of the soil for prolonged periods. If you have a garden with enriched moist soil, I'd go ahead and plant them, covering the bed with several inches of compost, forest mulch, dried leaves, etc. to retain moisture and reduce soil temperatures. You could also plant them in containers and leave them indoors, then transplant out in the fall. Good luck!
