|The Time Guideline for fertilizing St. Augustine is March, June and September, with June being optional... Fertilizing may help but the most important key to a healthy St. Augustine lawn is watering. St. Augustine should be watered deeply once or twice a week, depending upon your watering restrictions. I know that in your area it is twice a week as per the South West Florida Water Management District Guidelines. Deeply soaking the lawn will encourage deep root growth and help your turf tolerate droughts between waterings. Best wishes with your lawn.
