Mandevilla are vines or viny shrubs that survive outdoors over winter in mild climates. In cold winters, they are brought indoors or treated as annuals. Without knowing exactly what species or hybrid you purchased, it's impossible to comment definately on your plant, but many Mandevilla have cold hardiness ratings for USDA zones 10-11. Was there a plant tag with information?
