Why did parts of my lawn turn brown after fertilizing with Fenway fertilizer? |
Fertilizers can burn the lawn if they are overapplied, if the temperature is over 90F or if you did not water it in well after application. Fertilizer burn usually affects only the blades and not the roots - unless enough was applied to actually burn the roots, as well. Let's hope for the best! To help things along now, water, water, water, both to flush the salts away and to encourage new growth. Mow your lawn at often as before the browning, to remove the brown blades and to help make the grass grow. Best wishes with your lawn! |
