I discovered the fruit on my raspberry vines have a white larvae in them. I investigated on the internet and found that a fruit fly had invaded Southern Calif. and was probably the cause of the damaged fruit. Any treatment which won't affect the fruit? Thanks for any suggestions.

There's not much you can do for this year's crop other than to pick the raspberry fruitworms. Next spring apply permethrin just before the blossoms open and, if necessary, again after all the blossoms have fallen.
