|It is really difficult to grow grass under trees. Not only will the tree roots compete for the moisture but most grasses won't grow well in the shade cast by the canopy of the tree. You can try overseeding the area with a shade-tolerant grass seed. You may have to repeat this every few years to maintain the lawn beneath the trees. I do recommend Palmetto St. Augustine Grass as a shade-tolerant variety, but again most grasses prefer some sun. Wish I had a better suggestion!
