I have just had an inground pool installed and need privacy on the ends only. I prefer evergreens so as not to deal with leaves near the pool. I live in zone 6. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

An evergreen tree that will do well in your area and is good for creating privacy screens is Leland cypress (Cupressocyparis Leylandii), which is fast growing and makes an excellent screen. Other possibilites include arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis), also called eastern white cedar, western red cedar (Thuja plicata), Savannah holly (Ilex x attenuata 'Savannah') and American holly (Ilex opaca).
