My forsythia is so overgrown. Can I cut it back now? How do I cut it back? It's really too full on the bottom and laying on the ground. It could be shorter too. Help. Barbara

You can cut it back now. The new growth it develops this summer will flower next winter for you. You can cut it way back without harming it in the least.
