What is causing yellow spots under the skin of otherwise ripe tomatoes? The tomatoes taste great and some are over a pound in size but this is also happening on my cherry tomatoes. |
It's usually an sign of sunscald but there's a possibility that it's damage from a stink bug. A tiny hole in the skin of the fruit (check with a magnifying glass) made by a stink bug can turn a small spot of the fruit yellow. As you've mentioned, the tomatoes are still tasty so it's nothing to worry about. |
