When flower petals begin to fade, pinch the flower off, along with a bit of the stem. Wherever you pinch, two new stems will grow. Deadheading regularly will keep your begonias bushy and full of blooms. In general, begonias thrive in moist, well-draining soil, under filtered sunlight or bright indirect light. Be sure to provide each plant with plenty of elbow room so there's good air circulation all around and you'll avoid the fungal disease called powdery mildew. Water when the top of the soil dries out and try to keep water off the leaves.
