Not so much a question - received a hanging basket with big tag saying moisture control soil - avg. 7 days to water. WRONG. If it's in a woven mat hanger, it needs to be watered almost every other day. And I'm using a moisture probe to check |
The moisture control potting soil has little sponge-like pellets that absorb and hold moisture then release it into the soil as the soil dries. They don't hold a lot of water, as you've discovered, especially if the potting soil is in a coir basket, which encourages evaporation. You're wise in watering as often as necessary to keep the potting soil moist. Thanks for sharing your experience! |
