seeding my lawn - Knowledgebase Question

Deer Park, Ne
Question by richlydel

I just had a 20 by 25 foot area in my back yard rototilled. The area get's mostly sun. I put down a 3 inch layer of top soil. What type of seed would you recommend? Watering is not a problem, since I have a sprinkler system. I know this is not the best time to seed, but I don't want the weeds to take over. Please help.

Thank you,
Richard

I'd use Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, or tall fescue - or a combination of these grasses. Try a 65% Kentucky bluegrass blend with 15% perennial ryegrasses
and 20% fine fescues. I think you'll like the results.
