I over fertilized part of our lawn and now it's brown. How do I fix it?

With any luck at all only the blades were killed but the roots are okay. Flood the lawn with water a couple of times to rinse out some of the fertilizer. Then water on a regular basis and give the roots a chance to recover and send up new grass blades. If you don't see any new growth in a few weeks you may need to rake the lawn and overseed. I hope it comes back on its own and you don't have to overseed it!
