I just bought a bag of Scotts MAX fertilizer. Is it best to cut your grass and then apply the fertilizer, or apply it to the grass before you cut it? Thank you for any help.

You can cut your grass first, but make sure that you raise your mower blade to a high level, a short cut grass with a fertilizer application has a greater chance to burn. Also check your product before applying the fertilizer, Lawns are typically fed in April, June, September and late November, not during the heat and middle of the summer season.
