The white flower petals on one of the two hydrangea plants I just purchased seem to be turning brown. Both are in containers and receive partial sun. Am I doing something wrong? Do they need more or less sun?

Thank you!

When hydrangea flowers begin to fade (about 3 weeks after they open), the petals can turn brown. When the flowers are completely brown you can trim them off your plant. Four hours of morning sun is just fine for hydrangeas. Enjoy you rnew plants.
