My winter daphne was beautiful until a couple weeks ago. It was planted last fall as part of new landscaping. The soil is good, and the weather has been mild. It was beautiful until a couple weeks ago when the leaves suddenly drooped then fell off. Will it come back? I see no pests on it or signs of damage. |
Heat stress or water stress are the most likely causes of sudden leaf drop. Be sure to water carefully, completely wetting the soil when you water and then allowing the top of the soil to dry out before watering again. As long as the roots are healthy your daphne will develop new leaves. Wish I could offer more advice. Best wishes with your daphne. |
