Please provide me with the Latin name and source of obtaining seeds or plants of a sage/salvia called "Indigo Spires." It is a three- or four-foot plant with rich purple flowers that blooms summer and fall; the hummingbirds love it. I'm not sure if it is a perennial or even if it reseeds. I want to grow it again next summer.

Salvia 'Indigo Spires' is a cross between Salvia farinacea and Salvia longispicata. The plant is perennial and grows 3' - 4' tall, producing 15" blue blossoms. It's a difficult plant to find, but one source of seeds is: Companion Plants, 7247 Coolville Ridge Rd., Athens OH 45701.
