I purchased a beautiful hydrangea and some pampas grass. Due to medical problems I do not expect to get them planted this year. What could I do to save them until next year? |
As long as you keep them watered well this summer and you protect the containers from freezing over the winter months you should be able to hold your plants for planting next spring. Protecting the roots this winter will be your biggest challenge. If you can sink the pots into the ground in a protected area (next to the foundation of your house, for instance) they should winter over without problem. Best wishes with your plants. |
