I have a very shady backyard. Bermuda Grass will not grow. Is there any type of grass which will grow in a very shady area ?

There are some shade tolerant grasses, such as Kentucky Blue but they go dormant during the hottest summer months. Of the warm season grasses, St. Augustine is more shade tolerant than bermuda. Amerishade and Raleigh are the two types of St. Augustine that are most shade tolerant. Best wishes with your lanw.
