How do u get rid of wheat grass w/out hurting the soil for planting good grass? |
Wheat grass is often used as a cover crop and is rototilled into the ground before it sets seeds. If you have a stand that you want to kill off, Round Up will do the job. It will move down into the roots of the plants but won't translocate into the soil. It will degrade in a few weeks and by late summer or early fall you can plant your new grass. (It's a little too hot to plant grass now!) |
