|I have a new dogwood tree planted this spring. The leaves are dry and brittle and it looks like it is dying. Is it getting too much water or not enough? Thank you.

|Sounds like too much sun or too little water. Sometimes strong winds can dry out the leaves, too. Since the tree is new it is probably stressed and will need this summer to establish its root system before it can grow well. I'd just water it deeply once or twice a week and not expect too much growth this year. Next spring it should be well established and ready put out healthy new growth. Enjoy!
