I purchased a crepe myrtle 2 yrs ago with blooms. Last year and this year no blooms. Not enough sun or something else. Plant looks healthy. |
Crepe myrtles like full sun to bloom. Other things that would prevent blooming: immmaturity (your plant will just have to grow up before it can flower); pruning at the wrong time (crape myrtles bloom on new growth produced in the current year); or too much nitrogen fertilizer. Nitrogen grows foliage at the expense of leaves. It may still bloom as they like warmth and the summer isn't over yet! |
