What kind of spray or dust can I buy to deter the beetles from destroying my rasberries? We used the bags last year but hate to kill them in this slow manner. |
Insecticides seldom control Japanese beetles on raspberries and the raspberries cannot be picked immediately after applying insecticides because there is a waiting period after the raspberries are sprayed. (The waiting period is the number of days required between insecticide application and harvest.) During that interval adult beetles continue to fly into the patch if attractive fruit is present. Wish I had better news for you! |
