|some of my lily buds have turned brown and are not opening? Is there something I need to do for next year?

|If the buds are turning brown before opening it may be a disease such as botrytis fungus, or a pest feeding inside the unopened bud. I'd cut off the affected buds and toss them in the trash. With any luck you'll be removing the fungal spores and/or bud worms and you won't have the same problem next year.
