What could be causing a silvery film on the leaves of my hibiscus plants. I moved the outside about 6/20. I have had the plants for 3 and 6 years.

If the leaves look stippled (and silvery), spider mites are feasting on the undersides of the leaves. They love dry, dusty places and can be discouraged by frequently hosing off your plant, including the inner stems and the undersides of the leaves. Insecticidal soap sprays can also control the pests. Good luck with your hibiscus!
