You can grow them in a cool greenhouse but they may not be happy indoors if the room is too warm. It's worth a try, though. I'd take tip cuttings in the fall to overwinter indoors. Or, leave them in their pots or hanging baskets, stop watering when the temperatures get cool at night (50F) and take the pots into an unheated garage where temperatures remain above freezing. The plants will rest in a semi-dormant state. Keep the soil barely moist. In the spring, take them back outdoors and begin watering regularly. Good luck with your fuchsias! |
