I have mites indoors and out. My plants are healthy and I have no idea where they came from. We had wet weather into June which is unusual for our area, could that be the cause. I would like to eliminate them organically if possible, if not whats the next best way?

Insecticidal soap is the product of choice but if you'd rather not use it you can discourage mites by hosing off your plants on a regular basis. Mites love hot, dry, dusty places. If you direct the water spray towards the centers of the plants and the undersides of the leaves, and if you spray them off every 3-4 days for a few weeks the mites will move on to drier places. Good luck with your eradication project!
