For many years, my backyard has been fallow with only weeds growing.I've tried extended control weed products but it isnt' making a dent in the weed population. I would like to plant/landscape but I first need to address the weeds. Is there a reliable method of finally getting rid of the weeds? I've heard of using corn gluten...any suggestions? Thanks!

Pre emergent herbicides such as corn gluten meal will keep the weed seeds from sprouting so it's a good product to apply. Weed seeds can lay dormant for years so there's no easy solution. You'll need to use a pre emergent on a regular basis to keep those seeds from germinating. Wish I had an easier solution to share!
