A good watering schedule for Clivia is as follows:
From midwinter until late spring, let the soil become slightly dry between thorough waterings and fertilize every month or two with a standard house-plant fertilizer. In the fall let the plants rest without fertilizer and with only enough moisture to keep them from wilting.

Clivia bloom more abundantly if their roots are not disturbed, so repot them only when the plants become extremely overcrowded (about every three or four years).
