I live in Colton, California. My Maui Gold onions have benn doing fantastically well, but the tall tops are beginning to fall over. Is it time to stop watering them and let them go to seed, or are they falling over because of watering, etc.? Thank you!

They're falling over in preparation for ripening. As unattractive as it looks, it's a natural process. Allow the tops to fall over and turn completely yellow. Then harvest your onions and enjoy!
