rhododendrons - Knowledgebase Question

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pe
Question by pelicans

I purchased a number of rhodies, different sizes, all magenta, from home depot at several different times over the last several weeks. Some are doing well but several have drooping, soft leaves. The leaves are not brown. All have been watered and fertilized similarly. They were planted in several different areas, but there is no one area that is a problem.

Sounds like a classic case of transplant shock and as soon as the roots re-establish themselves your rhodies will perk up and look much healthier. Continue to give them TLC and watch for new growth. Once they adjust to their new surroundings they will perk up. Enjoy your landscape!
